About FRA
The European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) provides independent, evidence-based advice to policymakers, to help ensure full respect for fundamental rights across the EU, for everyone. To this end, the Agency collects and analyses information and data on a range of fundamental rights issues, provides assistance and expertise to EU Institutions and to EU Member States’ governments, raises rights awareness, communicates its findings and strengthens cooperation and ties between fundamental rights actors.
Traineeships at FRA
The traineeship is offered to recent university graduates (at least one month before starting the traineeship) and persons who would benefit from initial work experience, without excluding those who have recently obtained a university diploma or are at the beginning of a new professional career. To be eligible for a traineeship, you must also have completed your most recent studies no more than three years prior to the deadline for applications.
We are seeking highly talented individuals for a traineeship within the Digital Services and Facilities Sector, Administration Unit, to support the sector in its tasks. These tasks primarily involve providing digital solutions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations. During the traineeship, the selected candidate will engage in the maintenance of the agency’s intranet and document management system. Additionally, as the agency plans to integrate Artificial Intelligence tools across various business functions (research, administration, communication, etc.), the successful candidate will gain exposure to this emerging field.
No prior experience in the specified technologies is necessary. However, the candidate should demonstrate a willingness to learn, experiment with new technologies, and possess keen attention to detail.

Period of traineeship
The traineeship is offered for a fixed period of 6 months, from 01 April 2025 – 30 September 2025. The trainee will be required to work on a full-time basis at the FRA premises in Vienna.
Please note that no employment of any form can be offered following the end of the traineeship period unless through a recruitment procedure against a vacancy notice published on the FRA website.
To be eligible for a traineeship at FRA, you must meet the following conditions:
(N.B. In accordance with the Rules governing the traineeship programme at FRA, candidates of Roma background must have completed either post-secondary education attested by a diploma or have completed secondary education and have obtained at least 2 years of relevant professional experience.)
